About 30-40 thousand Jews now live in Odesa, but no more than a thousand attend synagogues. This application was developed to consolidate Jewish community interests, encourage participation in Jewish life, and foster community connections.
Core Features
The application includes a Jewish calendar with holidays, candle lighting times, and fast schedules alongside reminder notifications for Sabbaths and holidays.
Users can access weekly Torah chapters to maintain contemporary religious study and an electronic Siddur enabling prayer away from home or synagogues.
The app features a guide to Odesa Jewish sights including synagogues, kosher restaurants, and Shabbat-friendly hotels. It provides event posters for community and city activities, employment assistance through a vacancies section, and a dating service for community members.
A Tzedaka function enables monetary donations to individuals needing support—critically ill people, large families, and others in need.
Distinctive Feature
The application includes a directional compass showing orientation toward Jerusalem, reflecting the Jewish prayer tradition of facing that direction.
